Suboxone treatment is also used to manage pain and is a less addictive form of pain medication. Severe pain that is of a chronic nature or post operative pain can be effectively managed. Suboxone treatment can also be used for cancer or non malignant pain such as that caused by neuropathic conditions or musculoskeletal pains.
Types of Suboxone treatment
The administration of this medication can take many different forms – it can be administered intravenously by way of a drip. It can also be administered orally in a pill form or film. The pill is placed under the tongue (sublingual) to dissolve over a period of 10 to 20 minutes; similarly the film also adheres to the underside of the tongue.
The sublingual film is often preferred by users since it is less likely to fall out or be swallowed. While the taste is also preferred, this form of administration by way of paper thin film is easy to carry and more difficult to crush and snort, making it the ideal suboxone treatment.
